Wine Country Bound!
We know that everyone is traveling for the wedding, and we sincerely want to make the trip as easy and affordable as absolutely possible.
The details below will hopefully help with travel arrangements and accommodations. Cody and I will continuously be checking flights, hotels, VRBO houses, and other travel details, so if you have any questions at all, please reach out to us! We cannot emphasize enough how eager we are to make this easy on everyone.

Getting to Sonoma...
SAN FRANCISCO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
The closest airport to Sonoma is San Francisco (SFO). The Sonoma town center is about a 90 minute drive from the airport - right over the Golden Gate Bridge.
Traffic can be a little rough getting out of town (you're used to it, ATL friends), but once you're over the bridge, its easy and a very pretty drive.
If you arrive hungry and want a good view of the bay, cross the Golden Gate Bridge and follow the signs to Sausalito - its a fun little side trip!
SACRAMENTO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Another airport option is Sacramento (SMF). Sacramento is also about a 90 minute drive from the Sonoma town center.
Sometimes flights can be more expensive to Sacramento, but if you find a deal, the airport and traffic are a lot easier!
GETTING FROM THE AIRPORT TO WINE COUNTRY
We love to get around wine country by renting a car. Its an easy drive, and you can jump to different towns and wineries. The area is so fun! You can also shuttle from the San Francisco airport to Sonoma for about $35 by using the link below.
Once you get to wine country, Ubers are very easy to use - and we suggest it when you're vineyard-hopping! ;)
Find a place to crash...
Wine country hotels are unfortunately ... expensive. And we don't want you to break the bank. Here are some more affordable options near the wedding site.
Flamingo Conference Resort & Spa
The Flamingo Conference Resort & Spa is about 10 minutes away from the wedding site. We have a hotel block for $239/night at this link: Bunten/Jenkins Wedding.
**Added bonus - we heard this place gets pretty festive at night!
Courtyard Marriott Santa Rosa
The Courtyard Marriott in Santa Rosa is about 15-20 minutes away from the wedding site. Present rates for Labor Day weekend are $299/night.
El Dorado Hotel
El Dorado Hotel is not quite as cheap - but its in an amazing location right on the Sonoma Square. Right now, rates are $380/night. There's an awesome restaurant on the first floor, and you're right in the middle of the action! :)
Super Cute Bed and Breakfasts...
There are some adorable bed and breakfast spots around where we're getting married. If you're looking for something with personality and something more in-between, this could be a great option!
Inn at Sonoma
A cute bed and breakfast and Four Sisters Inn in Sonoma. Its located 30 minutes from the wedding site, and right near Sonoma's adorable square where you can walk to restaurants, shops, coffee shops, and bars. Rates start at $330/night.
Olea Hotel
Olea hotel is an adorable bed and breakfast in Glen Ellen, a cute little town about 15 minutes from the wedding site. Prices start at $339/night.
Gaige House
Gaige House is neat BnB in Glen Ellen, which is a cute little town and close to the wedding site - about 15 minutes. Prices start at $369/night.
Find a place to vacation...
Sometimes you just need to get away and splurge. If that's your MO, here are some beautiful resorts we think you'll love.
Lodge at Sonoma Renaissance
The Lodge at Sonoma Renaissance is located near the square in Sonoma and its lovely. It is about 25 minutes from the wedding site. I've stayed here with my girlfriends - it was fantastic!
Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn
The Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn is a nice hotel located near Sonoma and about 15-20 minutes away from the wedding site. Its supposed to have a good spa, if (like me) that's your happy place!
Your best bet ... grab some friends and rent a VRBO or Airbnb!
Honestly, hotels in California are expensive - and it can be a bummer! I've found that VRBO and Airbnb have great options for houses that sleep 4-12 (or even more). They're the same or cheaper than hotels, and oftentimes you get way more for your money! I highly, highly recommend you look into these!!
Location wise - I'd try to stick close to Sonoma, Santa Rosa, Glen Ellen, and/or Kenwood. Those are the closest cities to the wedding festivities. I am making a list of houses that I think are in great spots and are more affordable per person or per couple. If you're looking for a house, just let me know how many people, and I'm happy to send you some suggestions!!
